Behind the songs...

Golden String is a reflection, a warm, honest exploration of the places we go to — emotionally, physically, and within ourselves — and the quiet ties that connect them all. The songs are bind together not only by the warm, golden tone of the guitar that runs through them, but by a deeper thread — one that connects memories, people, places, and the quiet lessons we gather along the way.  This golden string is the thread that pulls you gently forward — through love, grief, self-doubt, and healing. It's about holding space for all of it: the softness, the fear, the joy, and the resilience. Each song is a window into a different part of the journey, full of imperfect feelings, unspoken thoughts, and moments that shaped me. This is a celebration of what we learn along the way.

Sunglasses came to me on a rocky beach in Lanzarote, two days before my 29th birthday. I was overwhelmed with everything and needed to take a breath. So I planned a getaway trip to beautiful Lanzarote, where time feels to be running at a different pace. While taking some time to reflect and admiring the surfing skills of the more adventurous, I started to write about myself, but also about my sisters, my friends and most women in my life. Fearless, ambitious, beautiful, smart, but often struggling to feel allowed to shine. Fighting the impostor syndrome, Sunglasses is about living your truth, taking the time you need to heal, and handing sunglasses to those finding you too bright, encouraging them to do the same.

Have you ever met someone that fits all the boxes, that is exactly how you envisioned the perfect person for you and yet, for somewhat reason there is something missing. Paz y Poesía is a letter to that person I couldn't fall in love with but wished with all my heart that I could. I think I am incredibly lucky to meet some extraordinary people along the way and, although we may wish for a different ending to some stories, I think it is important to reflect on those and see the beauty behind every single one of them.

El viaje is the most special song I probably ever wrote. The writing process has been challenging  because it was the first song I dedicated to my Spanish grandma, who I lost when I was 9. I think it’s important to keep the memory of our loved ones alive in any way possible. In this song I wanted to draw the many similarities between our life journeys and share all the love and admiration I carry with me everyday.

The journey to self love is definitely not the easiest and can be sombre at times. The way we talk to ourselves, the mean voice we might let govern our mind sometimes, can lead to tarnish our vision of ourselves and limit us. I am a firm believer that our inner talks need to be positive and rational, and that we should be our own best friends. This is what I wanted to share in You and I. We should show up for ourselves the way we do for our friends, family, and loved ones. We’ll be ok, I swear.

Cupido is a tale for broken hearts. It is the story of two souls getting stung by a love arrow and slowly moving towards different directions. The fear of taking a leap into a romantic relationship is sometimes stronger than the feelings of affection one might have. One being frightened by the idea of being vulnerable and having their hearts broken, facing someone who was always ready to take a chance and live everything fully, even the pain. If they don’t choose you, choose yourself.
